The Sant Cugat City Council, through its Business, Innovation and Internationalisation Service, took part last week in the Project Training Days 2025, organised by the Interreg Europe programme in Lille (France).

This Wednesday, July 16, Mayor Josep Maria Vallès, accompanied by political, academic and business representatives of the city, officially presented Sant Cugat del Vallès' candidacy for the European Rising Innovative City 2026 awards, organized by the European Commission within the framework of Horizon Europe.

The 2nd BIVA General Council has agreed to promote a business acceleration space to consolidate Sant Cugat as a European innovation hub. The meeting, held at the HP Customer Welcome Center Barcelona, gathered more than 30 promoters of the Barcelona Innovation Valley Alliance (BIVA)

The BIVA project (Barcelona Innovation Valley Alliance), promoted by the City Council and Sant Cugat Empresarial, has received the Talent 2024 Knowledge Transfer Award.

Led by the City Council and framed within the Barcelona Innovation Valley Alliance (BIVA), it has been selected in the third call for the Interreg Europe 2021-2027 program.
The objective is to promote the growth of the health and life sciences industries through strategic alliances with eight European cities.

Sant Cugat City Council presented the Barcelona Innovation Valley Alliance (BIVA) this Tuesday at the Mobile World Capital Auditorium as part of the Mobile World Congress 2025. The initiative, which brings together 32 key players in the region, is positioned as a strategic project to strengthen the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
