Rosa Sebastià, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), has developed her professional career in research and teaching, always motivated by challenges and by the transformative potential of knowledge.
In this interview, she highlights research as a driver of change capable of improving people’s lives, and emphasizes the importance of participating in projects with real social impact. One of her main objectives is for UAB to become a benchmark in innovation and knowledge transfer within the territory, by deploying a comprehensive entrepreneurial pathway that connects talent, knowledge and opportunities.
Rosa Sebastià stresses that Sant Cugat is a clearly innovative region, with a strong business fabric and leading universities, where UAB actively contributes through the generation and transfer of talent and knowledge.
In this context, she highlights BIVA’s role as a space for connection and visibility of talent, pointing to initiatives such as BIVA Talent Day, which has already benefited UAB students. For the university, BIVA represents a strategic opportunity to implement its innovation and entrepreneurship policies, strengthen collaboration with companies, and continue to foster an innovation ecosystem with territorial impact.
